Out and About

Finding yourselves strangers in a strange land, the Orange Platoon swings into action, agreeing to turn the baboon cave into a temporary home. An ‘away team’ goes out in the sweltering midday heat to search for sustenance. They slay a giant monitor lizard and spot some wild boars before braving a march into the jungle.

Following the boar tracks, the away team finds fresh water at last and then returns to the cave for a little BBQ. Entertainment and debate follows. At last, you settle on a plan. You will do some reconnaissance, including investigating the ‘black lake’ a handful of miles south of the baboon hill.

Now late in the afternoon, the group searches the area in and around the ‘black lake,’ which proves to be a massive tar pit. On the verge of giving up, the team discovers evidence of humanoid inhabitants, by way of prints and a trail heading south…
